I started woodturning when I was 14 and am still fascinated by the colours, textures, the smell and the grain of wood, which I call the soul of the tree. I turn mainly rimu – the red wood of New Zealand.

Lita, my wife helps me in the craft by turning, finishing, rectifying errors and judging each piece to a very high standard. Each piece of turning is unique as I follow the flow that the wood offers.
